The supply and return sides of the HVAC system are “zoned” so they can be cleaned separately. This is usually accomplished using zone bags.

Are you putting your family at risk? Click Here to consider the facts…

Magnificient Air Cooling & HeatingAn access hole is cut into the return side of the HVAC system, the vacuum is connected using a connection collar and the vacuum is turned on. Each return vent cover is carefully removed and vacuumed cleaned.

Starting with the farthest branch from the vacuum and working toward the closest, each branch is individually cleaned back to the main trunk using a combination of compressed air & agitation tools. Any rolling dust conditions will be removed with this process.

Magnificient Air Cooling & HeatingAfter all the branch runs have been cleaned, the main trunk is cleaned back to the Air Handler. Once the return side has been cleaned, the supply side will then be cleaned. All supply registers will be cleaned using compressed air and initiation on the main trunk lines. Any etched or rolling dust conditions will be removed with this process.

Magnificient Air Cooling & HeatingAfter the entire ductwork has been cleaned, the ductwork can then be sanitized and the furnace can be air washed if applicable.

Once the entire cleaning process is completed, all access holes are completely closed and insulated sealing off any leaks, making the duct systems easily accessible for repeat cleaning.

Ductwork is designed to deliver air from one location to another. If supplies or returns are leaking, then this air is not going where it is intended to go. The Solution: Seal the ducts to prevent the waste of conditioned air.

Magnificient Air Cooling & HeatingReturns should be sealed from the grill to the air handler. Every degree that the return air temperature drops due to outside air being sucked in is a corresponding degree that the supply air drops, potentially causing comfort complaints and high utility bills.

Problems here can range from small cracks to missing headers.Ductwork in attics should be sealed as airtight as possible using high grade sealants you don’t want your sealant to fail after a couple of years. All ductwork that runs through an unconditioned space should be sealed with high quality sealant before insulation is installed.

Leaky Ducts: are very common and can diminish the efficiency of your HVAC system by as much as 40%. It doesn’t make sense for air that you’ve paid to heat or cool to leak into an attic, basement or crawl space through gaps and cracks in your supply ducts.

Safety: Pressure imbalances caused by air duct leakage can lead to back-drafting in combustion appliances such as furnaces, wood stoves and gas ranges. When this happens, you risk exposure to carbon monoxide.

Up to 40% of the energy usage of your HVAC system could be wasted by duct leakage. It’s extremely important that you have a technician come out and check to see if you have any leakage.
